“Watches are so named as a reminder – if you don’t watch carefully what you do with your time it will slip away from you.” – Drew Sirtors

On that note here is a brief insight into why this blog was created and why I blog about what I do.

There are a few things I enjoy. Repairing things, learning new things and horology, the measurement of time.

I have quite a few quartz watches in which I have changed the batteries and straps on over time. I’ve even done basic repair on other peoples timepieces. However I want more, I want a nice watch collection of my own, I want to become more accomplished at repairing and I want to physically build a collection of watches from the parts up. Become an amateur watch maker.

What better way to document my story than with a blog. Hopefully the average person can see that I can achieve what I hope to. They can note the problems I encounter and learn from my mistakes. No one is perfect.

So here we are, happy reading, wish me luck.
